‘coma sunrise’ print
$32.00
Description
This is a 9" x 12" print of 'coma subnrise,' a painting I made when in the hospital. After toppling off a 5 story building, I'd broken every limb aside from my right arm that I use to paint, so when I ask3ed my folks for art supplies, they got me some paints to express the pain I was feeling. This is one of two 9" x 12" painting I made in the hospital bed. I think this represents the feeling of waking up from that long dark of a 2.5 week coma, but who can really know? I didn't remember my name back then, so it's hard to know exactly what I was thinking.
These are a cool reminder of how important making art is for personal wellbeing. Making art helps express ideas that can be painful or hard to approach otherwise, so making it into a visual can be helpful to approach harder things.
